Foodie Friday: Featuring Damn Delicious’ Dumplings
The other day I was on Pinterest and found a yummy looking recipe for dumplings. And through this pin I discovered a food blog called Damn Delicious with a huge amount of recipes that all look great! I am so excited I found this blog and will be trying so many more of her recipes.
The first one I tried was the dumplings. Her pictures of her meals and ingredients are so professional and make the food look even more appetizing.
Check out her website for the recipe!
I made these dumplings with a few ingredients missing with the addition of others, (which is the beauty of it all, is that you can customize it how you would like) and it was so easy and so so good! There will definitely be more dumplings in my future. Thank you for sharing this with us Damn Delicious!

Foodie Fridays Nookies Too
To wrap up 2013 us girls at Say Yes to Happy went out to eat brunch at Nookies Too in Lincoln Park in Chicago.
It was a cute little restaurant on Halsted. The address is:
2114 N Halsted St.
Chicago, IL 60614
Phone: (773) 327-1400
And here is their menu for this location.
We had the crunchy french toast and the lemon poppy seed pancakes (which is a special and not on the main menu.) The lemon poppy seed pancakes were delicious! I loved them. They tasted just like the muffins do. I would go back to that place for those pancakes alone. Definitely worth getting!
Have you guys been here before? What did you order?
Brunch makes us happy. Who doesn’t love brunch?!
Travel Thursdays: New Buffalo, Michigan
New Buffalo, Michigan is 70 miles East of Chicago and about an hour and 1o minutes away. It’s a cute little town and a nice, close getaway from Chicago. The beach is very clean there. There are lots of shops and hotels. You can kayak, stand up paddle board, and ride bikes among other things.
As a kid going to New Buffalo it always meant going to Redamak’s. It’s a popular burger place, that put New Buffalo on the map.
I know it’s the new year and everyone is trying to eat healthier and rightfully so, but every now and then you just want a burger and fries. Just make sure you limit the fast food intake. I’m not by any means telling you to stop eating healthy, I’m just sharing where I ate when I was in town.
After eating my boyfriend and I went to the beach to watch the sunset. And wow was it ever a sunset! It was so beautiful and perfect. Looked like a postcard.
