It’s that time again…time to talk books with my friends Molly and Katie! I have been reading a lot since I take the bus to work everyday.
I finished The Lost Girls finally. If you haven’t heard me talk about it before, it’s about 3 girls from New York so took off a year to travel the world together.
As you can imagine they have so many interesting and amazing stories of their time abroad. It is so inspiring and makes me want to pack up and travel immediately. I love the idea of taking a good chunk of time out of life and going to amazing places we always hear about in books, movies, and online. Nothing can ever compare to actually being there.
Their friendships grew so much in their time together and they formed a lifelong bond. I can’t recommend this book enough. It took me a while to read it because it’s 400 or 500 pages and I read it between my moving and had to start it and finish it in different cities.
The other book I just finished was Giuliana Rancic’s Going Off Script. It was really fun to hear about her childhood in Italy and her rise to E! News anchor and her struggles and joys along the way.
I love her sweet family and cried watching their show when their son, Duke was born. I met Bill Rancic when I used to live in California and he could not have been nicer. I’m a big fan on the Rancic clan.
I just recently picked up Troublemaker by Leah Remini at my library after it’s been on hold since it came out. I’m very excited to read it. I have heard great things about it from other bloggers and the media. I also watched her interview on 20/20 and watched the Going Clear HBO documentary that was about Scientology. It is so mind boggling to learn more about this ‘religion’ more like a cult! I’ll have to report back on this one once I finish it.
Can’t wait to see what you are all reading to see what I should read next!
Make sure to link up with the girls!
You helped me decide on Leah’s book. I’ve seen it everywhere and I usually don’t read books about celebrities but she has been catching my eye these days with all the media she is getting. From Bookworm Wednesday.
I love Giuliana so I might have to check her book out! Her show is one of my favorite! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
I really want to read the lost girls! I have heard really good things!
i just started reading Going of Script yesterday! i totally agree with you and I huge Bill and Giuliana fans. they seem so genuine and normal to me.
Wait i’m sure it’s not fun that you ride the bus to work, but i’m sure it’s super practical. And it gives you time to read!! I think I would love the bus as long as it’s not crowded haha! I saw The Lost Girls somewhere but totally forgot about it. I’m glad you’re highly recommending it!
I’m so impressed by the amount of reading you (and other amazing bloggers) get done each month! I definitely need to make some more time for reading.
The Lost Girls sounds so good!! I like driving to work but I wish I had more time to read 🙂
Leah Remini’s book interests me. Scientology is so crazy and fascinating to me!
