I love the idea of having a office/desk at home and carving out a creative space just for me. After seeing all these pictures on Pinterest I’m seriously inspired and lusting after my own home office space. Hopefully at our place in Seattle I’ll be able to have a little set up of my own. Currently I blog mostly at work (shh! Just in my spare minutes here and there) and on the couch at home on my laptop. I love the simplicity of this space with a few fun frames and quotes.
I really like having just one wall painted in a room that makes a statement and doesn’t require a lot of work.
This is colorful but still small and not overwhelming.
Chalkboard walls are so cute and a nice way to write and draws things that are permanent. I also love having a bunch of pictures to inspire me and to be surrounded by some of my favorite faces.
This office with the lights hung up makes me so happy. And I also love that they have a couch for visitors.
This space is so quaint and cozy. It’s fun to see a small space getting used because not everyone has a spare bedroom to make into an office, but a small area of the wall seems very doable. And I love that pin board where you’re able to switch pictures up.
And another option to get some work done if you don’t have an office/desk space at home is to check out a co-working company like WeWork which rents out conference room or community work spaces. It’s perfect for freelancers, small businesses, and bloggers like us! They also have shared office space locations all over the US and in London, Tel Aviv, and Amsterdam. It’s nice every once in a while to step outside of our homes and coffee shops to be more productive.

Love these ideas!
Thanks Steph, heading over to check out your blog now too!
I want a home office space when we buy a home and I’m loving these ideas! I’m especially loving the gold mirror!
Thanks Sophia! I need a home office stat 🙂
I love the idea of a pin board or chalk board! You can also buy magnet paint. My idea I want to try in my next home is to paint a part of a wall with magnet paint and then chalk board on top 🙂
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of magnet paint, that’s genius! I have so many magnets hanging around from my travels.
Yes! Pinterest decorating makes me happy. You need a pretty space! You deserve one that’s for sure!! And now I really want the yellow chair….so cute. Honestly, will be redecorating now haha! Happy Tuesday Julie xoxo
I definitely WANT a desk and need to decorate it pretty like these! 🙂 I love pops of color!
Yes, those are cute! That’s so funny that you did that because I was contacted by them a couple months ago to share my office space. How cool!
That’s awesome! I don’t really have a designated work space so I had to show off my inspirations instead! Sounds like a cool company though!
I don’t have a desk either and so wish I did! There’s no room in my apartment. Hopefully when our lease is up we find a bigger place and I can get a desk in there! And of course I will have to decorate it as cute as possible. I love all your inspiration pictures! Oh and I also blog at work (our little secret!) or on my couch (sometimes even in bed) on my laptop!
When is your lease up?
Haha I knew I couldn’t be the only one who secretly blogs at work 🙂
I love having a little space to call my own! It was one thing I was most excited about when we moved into our house. Love the inspirations – especially the striped wall!
I am jealous you have your own space, I need mine stat! 🙂
I love the chalk board wall! Great ideas!
Thanks Sara!
I love that chair in the last picture!! These are great ideas because my desk currently stares at a blank wall in my room 🙂
Me too! The floral backing of the chair is subtle and unexpected. At least you have a desk haha I don’t even have that!
All of these are so gorgeous! I would be more than happy to have any of those offices in my home! The office in our house currently belongs to my husband so it is filled with sports memorabilia and bobble heads lol!
Me too! I need to find a little nook of my own in our next place. Sounds like a typical male office 🙂
I would LOVE to have a chalkboard wall in a fun little office space. Also love all the wall decor! So many fun ideas.
Yea that chalkboard wall is too cute and so practical!
That black & white striped wall is so Kate Spade preppy I can’t stand it 🙂 Brainstorming ways to incorporate that into my current guest room/office!!
I didn’t even think about that, but yes that is totally Kate Spade-esque!
I need to steal some of these ideas too!
These are so pretty! I love the striped wall in the second one (it reminds me of Sephora)!
