Mid Month Confessions

CaptureSo I didn’t realize Heather from Notes from the Nelesens was doing the mid month confessions on Friday, so I’m linking up today a little late. These confessionals posts cracks me up. I really like reading about people’s quirks and hearing people’s likes and dislikes. This month I have a bunch of random confessions.

  • I cry really easily. I cry watching certain movies (like rom coms), documentaries about the Kennedys (so many sad stories for a single family to endure), certain books, and if I see someone else crying.

  • I don’t know how to drive a stick shift car and Dave has had a stick shift car ever since we’ve dated and we’ve been together a long time. He has tried to teach me a few times but the concept is so hard for me to grasp. I can drive around a parking lot if he is walking me through it but I would definitely stall a car if I was by myself. (Something I need to work on!)
  • I’m not a very strong swimmer. I can doggie paddle, swim with my head above water, float on my back, tread water, swim in the deep end, etc but I don’t feel super confident as a swimmer. Another skill I need to work on.

  • I have a snapchat account but I don’t follow anyone I know and I don’t post videos. I only follow celebrities and Bachelor alums haha! It’s so fun to get a glimpse into their lives and see what they’re up to. Some of my favorites to follow are:

  1. I can relate to you on every single one of those confessions! I don’t usually cry during movies or books, with the exception of anything Nicholas Sparks, but if I see someone in my family crying, the tears automatically start falling! My dad tried teaching me to drive a stick shift when I first started driving…it was terrible and I haven’t tried driving one since then. I’m also the same with swimming and I can’t hold my breath under water without holding my nose! It’s kinda embarrassing seeing my little nieces and nephews just swimming under water and I’m like “nope, can’t do that…I’ve gotta hold my nose with one hand!” Haha. I loved reading this! I’ll have to join in next time!

    1. Haha I’m so glad you can relate Sophia! That Nicholas Sparks can sure wrote a good novel. I need to take adult swimmin lessons or something it’s a tad bit embarrassing, those little kids are showing us up! 🙂

  2. Definitely can relate to these, my goodness. I cry when frustrated or when someone else is crying, when I was learning to drive a stick I shifted from 4th gear to reverse… yikes, and I still plug my nose while swimming and basically doggie paddle, sad day… I live near a lake for goodness sake! Thank you for sharing!

  3. Uh I agree with all of these! Haha. Except on Snapchat I only follow people I know but lately I just never check it. The only updates I ever care about are when Michael’s cousin snaps super cute pictures or videos of her baby!

  4. Oh my gosh….we are one in the same. I cry during say yes to the dress…that is how bad it is!!! Also can’t drive a stick shift….so know you are not alone on that either!!! These are so funny..love em!

    1. I’ve been known to cry during that show too- they’re always so happy when they find the one! Lol

We need to figure out how to drive a stick once and for all! But glad I’m not alone thanks girl!

I can’t drive a stick either! And I cry really easily at movies and tv…but usually have a lid on it when it comes to my actual life. Weird, right?

  6. I feel like I can relate to so many of these! My husband was on business last week and I watched way too many rom coms, and cried at every single one of them ha. And stick shift is so hard! I had a friend of mine try to teach me and after a couple hours (yes, hours) he decided his patience was done, we were getting lunch, and I was NOT allowed to drive there haha.

    1. Can’t go wrong with rom coms 🙂 I try to watch them when my boyfriend is out of town too. He always says he’d watch them with me, but I alway feel bad making him watch them when he obviously doesn’t want to!

What a great friend to give you that many hours! It’s definitely not easy. I’d love to conquer it one day though.

  7. Following celebrities is one of my favorite things about Snapchat! I do like following friends though, too 🙂 I learned to drive in a stick shift! My choices at the time were my mom’s minivan or my dad’s Jeep Wrangler. Both were challenging in their own ways!

    1. Hah! I was never faced with those options but that’s good motivation to learn 🙂 My dad used to have a jeep but it was so old and also broke down so it wasn’t great to learn on.

  8. Lately all I feel like I do when I watch movies is cry…I watched The Mockingjay Part 1 and Catching Fire this past weekend and I was in tears over everything, Kyle thought I was having an emotional breakdown.

It took me forever to learn to not slam on the brakes in an automatic because all I ever drove was a stick shift (I currently drive one now).

  9. I don;t know how to drive a stick shift either no matter how many times someone has taught me, you are not alone. Cool facts.
