I have been doing a lot of blog hopping lately and came across the Life of Meg Blog, Bella and the City, Her Heartland and Soul, and Weekending with Champagne and Suburbs, Manic Monday with More Pieces of Me and On the Daily Express, I decided to link up with all these ladies, for my first time today. Head over to their blogs today, or next week, to link up!
A little weekend wrap up for you all:
Friday was date night with my boyfriend. We talked about a lot of things including our 5 year plans. Planning can be tough because there are so many unforeseen circumstances that arise and can alter our ‘plans.’
We basically talked about when we want to get married and have kids and where we want to set up a home base. Right now we are deciding between Seattle and Boulder for where our future kids will go to school, etc. This is a lot of future talk, maybe this, maybe that, but we just wanted to discuss and confirm we were on the same page. But of course what is the most important to us, is just that we are together. Everything else will figure it self out sooner or later.
We were also able to meet up with Morinda and the fam in Huntington for gelato that night. They are such a fun bunch to hang out with. So much love and energy between them all. Sadly we didn’t take a group picture, but it was so lovely to see them.
Saturday- Saturday was the long awaited day for my friend and I. We were lucky enough to attend the taping of the Men Tell All for the Bachelorette, via an editor from the show, who is a friend of a friend.
On Friday I had email Amy, over at The Farmer’s Wife blog, and she answered my questions about the taping. She couldn’t have been nicer! I link up with her every Friday, and you should too! She attended the live premiere last season with Farmer Chris, as well as After the Final Rose with Chris and Whitney. Check out her posts about them! She met so many people and got to take so many pictures with the cast and crew. She really set the bar high in terms of my expectations!
Unfortunately I’m going to have to leave you all hanging until next Tuesday the 21st, after the episode airs because production asked us to not reveal anything until after the episode airs.
Some quick notes, I was lucky enough to meet Shay and take a picture with her, Kaitlynn looked gorgeous, I introduced myself to Joe, and got Ben Z, Ben H, and Jared to wave back to me. 🙂 It was a really awesome, unforgettable night! I’ll fill you all in next week!
Sunday-In the morning Dave and I had a breakfast date at Greenleaf, which is a delicious organic restaurant at the South Coast Collection in Costa Mesa. It was really good and fresh and I highly recommend it.
Our friends Erin and Richard came to our place and introduced us to their new puppy Wiggles. She’s really sweet and shy. We all went to the dog beach in Huntington, then stopped for ice cream on the way home before going home to eat dinner with my mom and all our roommates. We capped off the night with a hot tub dip.
It was a great weekend. What did you all do this weekend?
Wow so crazy you’re talking about marriage and kiddos. But so exciting! Just like your half marathon coming up. You’ve got a lot of fun stuff to blog about!
When do you start training for your half?
I’m doing a 5K first. I orginally had planned for the end of September but now I might do one in mid-August. It’s still up in the air, so we will see!
I’m so excited for you! Starting with a 5k is a great idea 🙂
You pretty much just lived 90% of the female American populations dream. Can’t wait to hear more about it!
Haha! That’s such a funny way to put it. It was really awesome to be there and definitely felt surreal to be there. Can’t wait to share more next week. Thanks so much for reading and commenting so much! I love your blog too!
I laughed out loud at Jamie’s comment because it’s so true! I cannot wait to hear all about it! Ben Z was a favorite of mine from the very beginning!
I love that you and your boyfriend talked about a 5 year plan. My now husband and I talked about our 5 year plan before we got married and it’s so neat trying to live out those plans! (even though none of ours has happened just yet, we are only on year 2 of marriage)
Such a fun weekend! Thanks for sharing!
Hah yes I loved Jamie’s comment as well!:)
Ben Z was so sweet. And he’s even bigger in person!
Happy 2 years of marriage! It’s fun to have an outline and some benchmarks to try to achieve. Thanks for the sweet comment Sophia!
I’m so jealous that you got to go to the taping! I’ve always wanted to see one of those shows live, especially Dancing with the Stars. My fiance and I actually has pre-marriage classes at our church this weekend and the point they stressed the most was that with good communication you can make everything work, so it’s good that you and your boyfriend are so open and share with each other. Best of luck to you guys! 🙂
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment Sylvia (now I’ve discovered your blog too.) Communication is key for us! Glad to hear others agree too.
You should definitely go to a live tv taping once in your life, they’re so fun! Depending on the popularity of the shows, some are easier to get tickets than others.
AHHHH that is probably the best weekend ever. Cannot wait to hear more about it!!!!
Haha, I love your enthusiasm Katelyn! 🙂
Oh my gosh I can’t wait to hear about Men Tell All! And that’s awesome that you got to meet Shay! I had a feeling you might!
It was awesome to meet Shay, loved her before and even more so now 🙂
